Triquint Fun Bike Team Building in Dallas for Summer Santa

Triquent Semiconductors recently organized a fun bike team building in Dallas, Texas for Summer Santa.

Triquint had The Leader’s Institute ® lead one of our world-famous Build-A-Bike ® team building events to a group of their North Texas engineering group. As you can tell from the picture, this group was really fun and competitive, so when they were organized into smaller teams, they decided to cut loose a little. (Keep in mind that, our instructors don’t necessarily encourage the group to really cut loose like this, but we don’t necessarily discourage it either!) Each of the teams competed to be crowned the company champion, and each was able to build a very cute bicycle for kids in the Summer Santa program in Dallas.

Fun Bike Team Building in Dallas

Diana Reyes of Summer Santa, brought a number of kids with her to accept the bicycles. She explained that during Christmas time, many worth non-profits give to children in their community who are struggling. However, after the holidays are over, often, these children are forgotten. Some just fall through the cracks. When this happens, they are more likely to get into tougher situations by making poor decisions. She finished by saying, “these kids need to know that someone cares about them, and TriQuint did just that.” Although this was a fun bike team building in Dallas, the event wasn’t all fun and games. In order to acquire each of the bicycle parts, each team had to work together to solve team building challenges. The group was primarily composed of engineers, so problem solving is their specialty. However, for many of these challenges, they had to think outside of the box (literally) and work together (not a typical strength of the strong engineering type). So, as each group conquered each challenge, cheers rang through the hall. The fun involved in a bike team building event isn’t the building of the bike.
